The South Arkansas Regional Hospital Women’s Center received the National Safe Sleep Hospital Certification, which was created by Cribs for Kids and is endorsed by leading health and safety organizations. This award recognizes hospitals that demonstrate a commitment to community leadership for best practices and education in infant sleep safety. By becoming certified, SARH Women’s Center is demonstrating that it is committed to the mission of making babies as safe as possible in their sleep environments and eliminating as many sleep-related deaths as possible.
South Arkansas Regional Hospital works together with UAMS Stroke Assistance through Virtual Emergency Support (ARSAVES) telemedicine stroke program. This program delivers live, telemedicine-based neurology consultation in emergency departments by connecting potential stroke patients with specialists who offer on-the-spot stroke diagnosis and treatment.
South Arkansas Regional Hospital is designated by the Arkansas Department of Health as a Level III Trauma Center.
South Arkansas Regional Hospital is designated with a “B” Leapfrog Hospital Score. Our facility has the highest score in South Arkansas, which is a reflection of each and every one of our team members’ commitment to great patient care. Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grades are assigned to over 2,600 general acute-care hospitals across the nation twice annually. The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade uses up to 28 national performance measures from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the Leapfrog Hospital Survey, and information from other supplemental data sources. Taken together, those performance measures produce a single letter grade representing a hospital’s overall performance in keeping patients safe from preventable harm and medical errors.
South Arkansas Regional Hospital has been recognized for its exceptional stroke care by receiving the Arkansas Stroke Registry Certification 2023 Pearl Award. This certification signifies that the hospital has met the standards for stroke care in the state of Arkansas and has demonstrated a commitment to improving stroke outcomes for its patients.To receive this award, South Arkansas Regional Hospital had to meet several strict criteria related to stroke care, including timely diagnosis and treatment, use of evidence-based practices, and patient education and support. SARH also had to demonstrate ongoing quality improvement efforts through data collection and analysis.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has awarded South Arkansas Regional Hospital a Four-Star Quality Rating for its exceptional quality of care. This rating system is designed to help patients and their families make informed decisions about the healthcare facilities they choose to use. To receive a Four-Star Quality Rating, a hospital must score well on a number of different measures, including patient outcomes, patient safety, and patient experience. These measures are based on a variety of factors, such as the hospital’s infection rates, readmission rates, and patient satisfaction scores. South Arkansas Regional Hospital’s Four-Star Quality Rating is a testament to the hospital’s commitment to providing high-quality care to its patients. South Arkansas Regional Hospital has been recognized for our commitment to maintaining the highest standards in sterilization and cleaning with the 3M Sterilization and Cleaning Monitoring Program gold star. This program evaluates the hospital’s sterilization and cleaning processes, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. As part of this program, the hospital undergoes regular testing to ensure that our cleaning and sterilization procedures are effective. This includes monitoring the effectiveness of their sterilization equipment, checking for the presence of bacteria and other contaminants, and verifying that their cleaning procedures are thorough and effective.
