Danna Wagnon Taylor

With over a decade of experience in the healthcare industry, Danna Wagnon Taylor, MHA, is a dynamic leader revolutionizing how South Arkansas Regional Hospital serves its community.

As the Interim President of South Arkansas Regional Hospital, Taylor brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role. With a proven track record in strategic planning, operational efficiency, and staff management, Taylor is dedicated to delivering exceptional healthcare services.

Taylor is a graduate of West Side Christian School in El Dorado. Her journey in healthcare began at Melvin’s pharmacy, where she learned the importance of appreciating the team. From her first boss, Danna learned the valuable lesson that if you take care of your people, your people will take care of your business. Upon graduation from Ouachita Baptist University with a degree in Biology, Taylor joined the local hospital as the Hospitalist Coordinator. Over the years, Taylor has served the local hospital in various roles, including Medical Staff Coordinator, Director of Medical Staff Services, Director of Physician Practices, VP of Operations, Chief Quality Officer, Associate Administrator, and Facility Compliance and Privacy Officer. Taylor also gained experience with UAMS in Physician Recruitment and with the Arkansas Department of Health as the Local Health Unit Administrator.

Most recently, Taylor showcased her exceptional skills in managing specialty clinic operations, staffing, and strategic initiatives. Her commitment to excellence led to implementing innovative solutions that enhanced patient care and streamlined operations. With a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Trinity University, Taylor understands the medical and administrative aspects of the industry. Her educational background and practical experience allow her to approach healthcare challenges with a unique perspective.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Taylor is married and has 2 sons. She is an active member of Parkers Chapel First Baptist Church, where she volunteers in the children’s ministry. Her commitment to the community and passion for making a difference extend beyond the hospital walls.

Amber Rollins

CNO- South Arkansas Regional Hospital

Amber Rollins is a highly accomplished nursing professional who has been serving as the Chief Nursing Officer of the esteemed Medical Center of South Arkansas since June of 2022. In this crucial role, she takes charge of overseeing all nursing departments within the acute care hospital, ensuring exceptional patient care and operational excellence.

With an impressive career spanning nearly 10 years in nursing leadership and over 17 years as a Registered Nurse, Amber Rollins brings a wealth of expertise to her current position. Her extensive experience encompasses working in both not-for-profit and for-profit hospital systems, providing her with a well-rounded perspective on healthcare management.

Prior to her role as Chief Nursing Officer, Amber served as the Executive Director of Nursing Operations at Paris Regional Medical Center, a renowned 154-bed LifePoint Health facility. In this significant leadership position, she supervised eight nursing departments, overseeing the management of more than 250 FTEs.

Amber’s exceptional leadership skills were further exemplified during her tenure as the Director of Emergency Services. In this role, she successfully spearheaded a $3.6 million ED Upgrade, significantly enhancing the department’s capabilities.

Before her directorial roles, Amber Rollins gained invaluable experience as a charge nurse and an emergency room supervisor. She also worked as a registered nurse in the Emergency Department and on Med-Surg, primarily in Level 1 Trauma Centers. These diverse experiences have equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and intricacies of various healthcare settings.

Amber Rollins’s commitment to professional growth and excellence is evident in her academic achievements. She holds an MBA and an MSN, demonstrating her dedication to combining business acumen with nursing expertise. Furthermore, she is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice, with a special focus on Hospital Administration, set to be completed in December 2023. This advanced degree will undoubtedly further enhance her ability to lead and drive positive change within healthcare organizations.

Amber’s commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest industry standards is reflected in her active certifications. She currently holds certifications as a Certified Professional in Patient Safety and a Certified Emergency Nurse. Additionally, she is actively pursuing Certification in Rural Health Nursing, showcasing her dedication to addressing the unique healthcare needs of rural communities.

Amber Rollins’s passion for nursing and healthcare administration is evident in her active involvement in professional associations. She is a proud member of esteemed organizations such as the Emergency Nurses Association, the Texas Nurses Association, the American Nurses Association, the American College of Healthcare Executives, and the National Rural Health Association.
