The Director of Case Management, under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), serves as an interdisciplinary team member to coordinate the delivery of health care services leading to quality outcomes for the Hospital population and their families within the limits of the financial and social resources available. This person is the expert on issues related to utilization review and discharge planning. Current RN license in the state of Arkansas or Social Work license required. Under the direction of the Wound Care Center Clinical Nurse Manager/Clinical Coordinator, the Registered Nurse (RN) primarily provides patient care and handles intake and discharge processes for the Wound Care Center patients as scheduled. The position may also serve as a Case Manager to a group of assigned Wound Care Center patients, as assigned and depending on the Wound Care Center setup.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

· Provides patient care to Wound Care Center patients and handles patient intake and discharge processes as assigned and according to the hospital and nursing standards

· Assist in vein clinic as assigned after Healogics Vein Clinic training completed

· May also serve as Case Manager to a group of patients as assigned. This entails:

    o Performing the initial nursing assessment, communicating findings with the assigned physician, assessing the wound stage and measurements, documenting care plans, evaluating the patient’ status in regards to desired outcomes, and identifying patient care situations that require intervention

    o Participating in quality improvement initiatives, providing education to the patient or caregiver, and serving as a patient advocate in the delivery and coordination of the patient care

· Performs hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO) related duties as assigned, upon completion of the Healogics hyperbaric training

· May perform hyperbaric safety director duties after completing the required Healogics hyperbaric safety director training

· Collaborates as needed with other healthcare providers, Wound Care Center Providers, the Program Director and the Medical Director regarding clinic and patient needs

· May function as a Documentation Assistant (scribe) in accordance with Healogics policy

· Performs other duties as required.

The ultrasound technologist performs studies and should be skilled in general, OB/GYN, and vascular ultrasound procedures while exhibiting professionalism and exceptional interpersonal skills.  Candidates should be a graduate of an accredited school of medical sonography and certified through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).  Candidates should also be certified in Basic Life Support.

Responsibilities:

The Interventional /Cath Lab Scrub technologist specializes in assisting with invasive cardiac procedures and other procedures performed in the Cardiac Cath and Interventional Radiology Labs. The Scrub Tech is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for patients, under the direction of the Interventional Radiologist and /or Interventional Cardiologist, for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients. Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Requirements:

Graduate of a two-year Radiology Technologist program or two-year program for cardiovascular invasive specialists and hold the respective licensure for both the program and in the state of Arkansas ( ARRT or RCIS and LT). Previous Cath Lab or IR experience required. Current Arkansas Radiologic Technologist License or RCIS and LT License required. BLS Certification is required (may be obtained upon hire).

Engaged, positive member of the surgical department in assisting and collaborating with surgeons' clinics and internal departments within the hospital. Must be familiar with surgical and medical terminology and have the ability to use critical thinking reasoning in assisting in scheduling and assigning arrival times for outpatients. Proficient computer skills involving several applications related to surgical services used within the facility. Will need to familiarize self with equipment and instrumentation needs while scheduling surgeries.
