Director of Business Development
Position Summary
The Director of Business Development structures and leads the business development process and growth initiatives for South Arkansas Regional Hospital. Leads growth initiatives to produce and enhance services, programs, collaborative relationships and demonstrated results to meet the healthcare needs of the community and realize the overall organizational strategy.
Duties
Work collaboratively with Community Engagement and Communications Director to achieve balance with community engagement and business development efforts.
Proactively identify practice/business development opportunities to increase market share, and develop and execute business development plans.
Engage regularly in-person, and via telephone/email with external partners and referral sources to educate on service lines and offerings. Promptly resolve any issues related to referrals, prior authorizations, etc.
Conduct regular analysis of patient sources, volumes, and profitability and provide regular reports to administration on the same.
Set strategic practice and service line development goals with healthcare providers and service line managers (with specific measurable outlined efforts to meet metrics).
Maintain knowledge of relevant developments within the market.
Communicate analysis and strategic plans clearly to administration, providers, and services managers.
Represent hospital at physician recruitment events, outreach events, hospital-sponsored events, as well as other activities and meetings.
Build and maintain relationships with strategic community and regional partners in defined service area that complement the organization’s goals.
Exercises independent judgment while in the field, representing hospital values in business development activities.

Community Engagement and Communications Director
Position Summary
The Director will direct internal and external messaging, enhance the organization’s visibility, build strong community relationships, and develop marketing materials and promotions for hospital service lines.
Essential Functions
Develop an annual community outreach calendar that aligns with the hospital’s mission and goals.
Oversee annual community sponsorship activities and budget.
Maintain and enhance the organization’s brand awareness and identity, ensuring it reflects our commitment to quality healthcare in South Arkansas.
Participate in and organize staff and volunteers to represent the hospital at various community events.
Oversees the organization’s online presence, including website and social media platform, effectively engaging with patients and the community.
Produces weekly internal email to engage staff and keep everyone up-to-date on relevant information.
Creates and oversees the development of marketing materials for hospital service lines, including brochures, electronic communication, press releases and digital content.
Assists in ensuring that new employees and existing employees receive ongoing education about hospital services and programming.
Manages media relations and handles communication to internal and external constituents, including during crisis moments.
Monitors efforts and programming to ensure the effectiveness of work, adjusts strategies when necessary.
Lead efforts to provide community education forums and seminars on relevant health-related topics.
Successfully handles multiple demand and deadlines in a professional and courteous manner.
Works collaboratively with Business Development Director to achieve balance between community engagement and business development efforts.
Qualifications
Proven experience in communications, public relations, and/or marketing. Preferably in a healthcare setting.
Demonstrated and successful history of leveraging social media to drive engagement, reach, and results.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong leadership and time management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, internally and externally.
Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare industry, especially in surrounding area.
Provide own transportation.
Education
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or business-related discipline. Appropriate work experience may substitute for degree.

Director of Pharmacy
This position is responsible for all aspects of pharmacy services in both in-patient and out-patient settings. Responsibilities include purchasing, distribution/dispensing, accountability of charges, personnel management, and dissemination of information to the pharmacy, nursing, medical staff, and financial management of the department.
Education: B.S. or Pharm-D; MBA or at least five years experience in pharmacy management. Specialized knowledge: computers (spreadsheets, word processors, databases, and pharmacy operation systems-Meditech) applications and advanced management techniques.
Experience: Registered pharmacist for at least seven years. Must have at least five years of supervisory/management experience as a director, assistant director, or pharmacy supervisor in at least a one-hundred-bed acute care hospital.

Pharmacy Technician
Pharmacy Technician provides basic assistance to pharmacists and other healthcare professionals with the medication delivery system within the healthcare system following applicable standards including federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Pharmacy technicians will report to a supervising pharmacist and/or department manager. Pharmacy technicians will prepare new and refill medication doses which include oral, injectable, IV solutions, floor stock requests and other supply needs. Pharmacy technician duties include performing medication responsibilities for both non-controlled and controlled medications (e.g., delivery, returns, stocking, inventory control), safely performing aseptic and cleaning procedures when processing and preparing sterile and non-sterile medications, completing daily fill list medication preparation and documentation, utilizing automated pharmacy dispensing system and associated software, repackaging and labeling medications appropriately from bulk to single units, investigating and processing missing doses of medications, filling and delivering emergency and stat orders in a timely manner, inspecting and maintaining drug storage areas to assure medications are stored in a clean and orderly manner, checking for expired and recalled medications, processing charges and/or credits for specified locations within the facility, and performing other duties as assigned. Required Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Required Licensure: actively registered, in good standing, with the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician. Experience: 1-year relevant pharmacy experience preferred but not required.
