Engaged, positive member of the surgical department in assisting and collaborating with surgeons' clinics and internal departments within the hospital. Must be familiar with surgical and medical terminology and have the ability to use critical thinking reasoning in assisting in scheduling and assigning arrival times for outpatients. Proficient computer skills involving several applications related to surgical services used within the facility. Will need to familiarize self with equipment and instrumentation needs while scheduling surgeries. Be responsible for reaching out to surgical patients the day before surgery to verify arrival time and review preop instructions. Assisting in auditing and confirming correct surgical charges for each patient daily. Must have experience in scheduling, time management, phone, and computer skills. It does not require an RN, although nursing experience is preferred. M-F 0800-1700.

Responsibilities
Complete nutritional assessments and provide interventions using evidence-based practices for both inpatient and outpatient care
Provide education to patients, families, nursing, food service, and other facility staff on nutritional needs
Document assessment of patients with nutritional goals and interventions in the medical record
Communicate with physicians and clinical staff on patients’ nutritional status
Manage physician orders for therapeutic diets and supplements
Attend patient rounds and maintain clinical nutrition policies to support regulatory compliance

Dual registered Echo/ Vascular Technologist under general supervision according to established policies and procedures, performs routine and complex echocardiography and vascular duplex ultrasound examinations and performs and provides preliminary interpretation of studies performed. Examinations performed may include, but are not limited to, trans-thoracic, trans-esophageal, stress and contrast echocardiograms (utilizing commercially prepared contrast agents), peripheral venous and arterial exams, extra cranial cerebrovascular exams, visceral vascular and/or renal vascular exams.
Graduate of an approved program of echocardiography and vascular technology/sonography, non-invasive cardiovascular technology. At least 1 year of previous Echo/Vascular related experience required. Registry in echocardiography and vascular technology/sonography by either the American registry of Diagnostic Sonographers or Cardiovascular Credentialing International. Must be able to demonstrate advanced knowledge and skill in the performance of trans-thoracic contrast echocardiograms. Experience in placing intravenous lines and administration of IV medications is desirable. Experience in EKG interpretation and cardiac and vascular stress testing is preferred. Three to six months orientation to department policies, procedures protocols and equipment we usually required.
