Sponsorship and Community Engagement Policy and Guidelines

South Arkansas Regional Hospital (SARH), is a local nonprofit, community-based healthcare provider headquartered in El Dorado. Formed through the partnership of three area foundations and one academic medical center, SARH is committed to providing high-quality services close to home.

SARH’s mission is to improve the health and healing of the people of South Arkansas, and its vision is to be the regional healthcare provider of choice.

As our focus is on the health of those we serve, we want to continue as a community partner in showing our support for work that supports health-related initiatives. As a not-for-profit healthcare provider, our view and response to requests for monetary support must change. Historically, SARH is approached with a large number of requests for support for donations and sponsorships for various activities and events. Although we want to support as many requests as we can, we must shift our focus from being a for-profit entity to a not-for-profit entity. New guidelines that directly impact “health” have been established to help SARH navigate these requests fairly and within the scope of these new policies. To that end, each request will be carefully assessed to determine alignment with SARH’s goals, strategic plan, and fiduciary responsibility.
