SARH Announces Leadership

(June 7, 2023) EL DORADO, AR – The newly formed South Arkansas Regional Hospital (SARH), formed by a consortium of SHARE Foundation, Murphy USA Charitable Foundation, Murphy Foundation, and AR Health Ventures, a non-profit organization affiliated with UAMS, will complete the purchase of the Medical Center of South Arkansas (MCSA) in the coming weeks.

In conjunction with the hospital ownership transition, SARH would like to announce transitions in its leadership.  Danna Wagnon Taylor, Amber Rollins, and Marita Caldwell have all been named by SARH as interim leaders in preparation for day one of operations, according to SARH spokesperson and SHARE Foundation President/CEO Dr. Brian Jones.

Danna Wagnon Taylor, a Union County native, currently serves as the MCSA Assistant Administrator and will be named interim President of SARH effective with the transaction close. Amber Rollins is the Chief Nursing Officer and Marita Caldwell is the Chief Financial Officer. They will also continue in their respective roles as interim leaders through the transition.

Taylor succeeds David Fox who has served as the CEO of MCSA since March 2022.

Commenting on the changes, Dr. Jones noted, “We appreciate the leadership provided by Mr. Fox and his team at the local hospital.  We look forward to working with Mrs. Taylor in her new role at SARH.”
