Critical Care Medicine

The medical professionals at South Arkansas Regional Hospital provide 24-hour monitoring and acute care for critically ill patients in our intensive care unit (ICU). Our team consists of highly skilled specialists in a range of disciplines who utilize advanced equipment and technology to provide the highest quality care.

We understand that having a family member or loved one in the ICU can be an overwhelming and emotional experience. That’s why our critical care team members are dedicated to keeping you informed and answering any questions you may have. We want to provide you with the support and reassurance you need during this challenging time.

South Arkansas Regional Hospital boasts an eight-bed intensive care unit and an eight-bed intermediate care unit. In our intermediate care unit, patients benefit from the use of portable heart monitors, allowing for increased activity as healing progresses.

We strongly believe in the importance of involving families in the care of their loved ones. Families in the intermediate care unit are encouraged to participate actively in their patients’ care. We provide visiting times from 11 am to 1 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm to ensure that families have ample opportunity to be present and support their loved ones throughout their recovery.
