The Inpatient Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Program at South Arkansas Regional Hospital is a dedicated 20-bed unit, located on the second floor, provides a specialized environment to support your journey towards recovery and independence.

Within our self-contained facility, you’ll find two state-of-the-art rehab gyms equipped to offer comprehensive therapies tailored to your unique needs. Our interdisciplinary team of highly skilled professionals, including rehabilitation physicians, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech therapists, work together to provide personalized care and support throughout your rehabilitation process.

Under the guidance of our rehabilitation medical director, who goes above and beyond the Medicare-required visits, visiting each patient at least three times a week, our team is committed to delivering exceptional care and achieving optimal outcomes.

Our range of inpatient services includes:

Occupational therapy: Helping you regain skills and independence for everyday activities.

Physical therapy: Focusing on restoring function, enhancing coordination, stability, strength, endurance, and managing pain.

Speech therapy: Addressing communication and swallowing difficulties to improve your quality of life. Nutritional evaluation and dietary monitoring: Ensuring you receive proper nutrition for optimal recovery.

Discharge planning for return home: Assisting you in transitioning back to your home environment with necessary support and resources. Our Inpatient Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Program is specifically designed to assist patients with conditions such as stroke, hip fracture, amputation, neurological disorders, brain injuries, multiple traumas, and burns. We are dedicated to helping you regain independence and improve your overall well-being.
