Medical emergencies can occur unexpectedly, and it’s crucial to be prepared and aware of where to seek immediate medical attention. We’re here to provide prompt and compassionate emergency services to patients in El Dorado, Arkansas, and the surrounding areas.
Our skilled team is trained to handle a wide range of urgent medical needs, from minor injuries to life-threatening conditions like heart attacks and strokes. As a designated Level III Trauma Center by the Arkansas Department of Health, we excel in assessing, stabilizing, and resuscitating patients with severe traumatic injuries.
We have 24/7 coverage from general surgery and orthopedics, along with a 16-bed intensive care unit and an onsite helipad for transferring patients requiring advanced care to other hospitals. Through our partnership with Survival Flight, we have an onsite helicopter and crew based at our hospital since February 2020.
South Arkansas Regional Hospital also collaborates with UAMS Stroke Assistance through Virtual Emergency Support (ARSAVES) telemedicine stroke program. This program connects potential stroke patients with neurology specialists through live telemedicine consultations, allowing for immediate diagnosis and treatment recommendations.
